SUSTAINABILITY TREE: Finding sustainable solutions through the tree of problems

Description

Gather around your friends or family to reflect about problems related to sustainability following the next method -"The tree of problems": STEP 1: Draw a tree with its leaves, roots and core on a flipchart. Brainstorm with the group about a sustainability problem that is happening currently at global level. When you have agreen upon one problem, you should write it down in the core of the tree. STEP 2: Talk about the causes that originate this problem and write them all down in the roots of the tree. Then talk about the consecuences that this problems creates and positionate them in the leaves of the tree. STEP 3: Find solutions for the causes and consecuences of the tree of problems. You might not be able to find solutions to all the roots and leaves, but you should focus on one that you would be able to solve. Debriefing: Are you part of this problem? Are you causing somehow this problem? How does this problem affect your daily life? Are you able to do anything against this problem? Do you usually discuss about sustainable topics with your family and friends? Why or why not?
